about Kat
Kat Klockow (she/her) is a comic book creator, editor, and founder of Corpse Flower Press, a small publisher of graphic novels, zines, and comic books all with a paranormal and supernatural theme.
Comics + Zines
She is the artist of the graphic novel ZOMBIO: A SPACE ADVENTURE, the mini-comic Frogmen Love Chili Dogs, and the creator of the graphic novel Mercy Brown: Dead Around Town.
Kat is an active member of Art Commons, an art coalition on the Eastside of Seattle. She created the oversized zine Art for Empathy and Action, which was presented as a live reading at their art summit in early 2026.
She is also a cartooning and comics instructor at Happy Time Workshop in Issaquah, Washington.
Podcast
Kat is also the host of the Hometown Haunts Podcast, where she shares local ghost stories, urban legends, and fringe history from around the world with her friends and co-hosts Christina Wald and Jen Koehler.
